Taylor Marino

Taylor Marino joined the CSO as principal clarinetist of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in 2019. He was previously the principal clarinetist of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans and has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony as well as guest principal clarinet with the Cincinnati Symphony, Baltimore Symphony and Auckland Philharmonia in New Zealand. He has collaborated in chamber performances with Emmanual Ax, Martin Beaver, Clive Greensmith, Eugene Izatov and performed under the baton of many prolific conductors including Valery Gergiev, Andris Nelsons, Alan Gilbert, Franz Welser-Most, Herbert Bloomstedt and Marin Alsop. He has attended the Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, Music Academy of the West, Spoleto Festival USA and is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Colburn School studying with Mark Nuccio and Yehuda Gilad.
